Today is my 11 month smoke free. I can hardly believe it's been that long already. It felt like yesterday, yet, it felt like a lifetime ago.

1 more month it will be a year (rocket science), i still have my last pack, unopened, from 11 months ago. I will celebrate with a swift kick to the can. That was my gift and promise to myself. Kyle doesn't understand it, but i have my logic.

When i quit, i had just bought 2 packs. 1 of them i smoked my last sick stick, and has since been discarded. The other remains unopened to this day, and it never will be. It's fate lies in the trash heap for the rats to kick back and enjoy.

My theory was if i can go day in and day out with this pack sitting in front of me on my desk and not at the very least open it?? This would be my final Quit, the Quit that will stick for good. So far, it has. I haven't craved a sick stick in nearly 6 months. In fact, it makes me sick just smelling it in the air and on people.. the stuff is gross peeps.. you wreak. Not to mention what you are doing to yourselves physically. You won't miss it after while, trust me. It's the best thing you can ever do for yourselves.

Thanks to all that supported me during this 11 month quit. 1 more month to go!

Maybe it really is Yield

Today, on my excruciatingly long Monday morning commute to work, i was almost taken out by an asshole blowing a stop sign, AGAIN.
I was 2.5 blocks from Kyle's house, cruising on the main thoroughfare preparing to turn left to the road that leads to the highway, when this bastard in a red pick-up truck (not the big boy truck, the wimpy truck) decided that he was in too much of a hurry to stop at HIS BIG RED HUGE STOP SIGN! You know the big octagonal red one with white letters that says "STOP" on it?? yeah.. So here i am.. Tired, not feeling well, on my way to work, didn't even get on the highway of death yet, when I'm met with the asshole that's in a hurry at 6:21 AM.
I'm proceeding to start to make my left hand turn, blinker is clearly on, when asshole pulls right out of the street that I'm turning down. HAD I NOT HAD TO CUT HARD LEFT AND ALMOST GO UP AN F'N CURB I WOULD HAVE WENT AFTER THAT SOB WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH THE PD!! YES i WOULD HAVE filed a complaint, i would have photographed the asshole on my cell phone for further court proof as well. BUT because i had to maneuver my car in a way that made it impossible to catch up the asshole before he blew through the yellow light ahead i opted to just proceed, with my adrenaline in my throat, to work.

There needs to be a law or SOMETHING that makes ticketing these sons of bitches easier!!!!! Why should I have to prove him guilty? he fucking blew a stop sign!!!! and i don't want to hear that BS that if it were that easy everyone would make false complaints etc.. THEN THEY GO TO JAIL FOR FALSE REPORTING! I'm SO angry about this!!! because God knows (no offense in advance) that when you need a cop there they aren't, ESPECIALLY at 6:21 AM.. they are gearing up to end their shifts.. I'm SO pissed off about this.. When i get back up there this weekend I'm going to drive up and down that assholes neighborhood looking for his truck, and when i do I'm going to leave a note on his vehicle (all the while taking his plate # with me for future reference) thanking him for his impatience.

One of my BIGGEST pet peeves, is people running stop signs.. and I'm not talking Jersey rolling through stop signs.. that shit is ridiculous too, but blatantly running a stop sign because you are in a hurry is just absolutely irresponsible!! I want to be on the stop the stop sign blowing campaign.. any PD interested please let me know and i will be the decoy car with the camera.. you need revenue?? I'll get it for ya? why? because anyone that blows a stop sign finds me to do it to. I am NOT exaggerating that fact either.

Maybe we shouldn't even have stop signs anymore.. just make them all yield signs.

I am very pleased to announce that Star Enterprises (Arizona Daily Star) has filed a law suit against Mr. David Stine and members of the band "The Awful Truth" for the unauthorized use of a photo taken of Officer Erik Hite as he lay mortally wounded.

I found, in my new Facebook world, a group that is trying to stop the release and/or distribution of an album cover from the band "awful truth" that features the picture of a slain officer Eric Hite from the Tucson PD with the album title “Kill A Cop For God”. The only thing awfully true about this band is their sense of humor.. and that's the AWFUL TRUTH.
Apparently they did not get permission to use this picture, so their is a huge uproar in the police and family community as you can well imagine.

Hectic

Sorry i've been neglecting the blog.. I've packed my schedule so tight with activities i can't fit everything in. I decided to take some time tonight to quickly update some things.

First and Foremost: Kyle and I booked a spur-of-the-moment trip to Aruba. I am in desperate need of a vacation. Work has been beyond crazy (thankfully so in this economy), i have new responsibilities, plus all the high school drama that's found it's way to my cubicle door is more than a sane person can bare let alone a semi-nut like myself. We are outta here in 2.5 weeks and i can't WAIT to sink my feet in that glorious white powdery sand again. This is my third time back in almot 4 years, and i have missed it ENORMOUSLY.

Ok, back to reality here...

I'm back in my weekly Yoga classes, and tonight was an AWESOME class (missed last week's because of SNOW!) A lot of Sun salutation and deep stretching, and Savasana was DEEP. This was, by-far the seepest savasana i have ever been in. I wish i can have her instruct me prior to my weekly Sunday night slumber bout, it is sure to make me sleep deep lol. The rest of the week is jam packed with high energy aerobics classes.. love that class too.. i have absolutely no co-ordination what-so-ever, but that's ok.. makes for good comedy.. i laugh, which is very therapeutic! I am getting the hang of it though.. so i only mess up the really tricky moves, i'm almost in sync with the the rest of the class! it's still funny as hell though! lol!

Then in between all of that, i'm packing and un-packing from my weekend trips to Kyle's, playing this damn game on Facebook that i'm TOTALLY addicted to-thanks Kyle, grocery shopping, and oh tanning.. i know i know.. but if i don't, when i get to ARuba i'm going to look like one of these suckers! (yes, that's a land crab from Aruba, and it bit Kyle on our last trip in '07! lol.. we wanted to see if it could swim! it didn't like that very much! lol)

Anywho, so i'm going a couple days a week to get a decent base so i don't ruin my trip.. like Kyle did when we went... men just don't listen when we tell them to put sunblock on! well he found out the hard way!

Back to tanning.. i find it kind of therapeutic as well.. i put my i-pod in the ears and i put on some snappy tunes and dance away while in that radioactive closet! it's fun, and the light makes me feel better too.. not so dreary.. since all it does around here is snow, rain and be overcast! you'd swear i lived in Seattle or something! jeez!

Oh, my friend Jess and her DH are going to meet us in Aruba mid-trip! they are going skiing then hopping on a plane to Aruba! can't WAIT! we are going to have a blast!!

So basically, in a nut-shell, that's my life right now.. when/if i have time or something interesting to write about i'll chime in. I also stopped blogging for a short while because i was in a very negative place and i saw it in my posts.. life makes me angry sometimes, and people make me angry and i can't see funny things when i get like that.. SO! hopefully! my trip will snap that outta me.. in the meantime.. I hope everyone is safe, happy, healthy and blogging away!
