Suspect And Two Others Face Attempted Homicide, Other Charges

3rd Suspect In Police Shooting Arrested

 

Milwaukee police have arrested the third man wanted in connection with the shooting of a Wauwatosa police officer.

Officers from the neighborhood task force arrested Thongsavan Rodthong near North 34th street and West Saint Paul street at 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

Rodthong and two others have been charged in the shooting of a Wauwatosa police officer.

According to a criminal complaint, Officer Abby Pavlik told authorities she was responding to a report of a burglary Dec. 13 when she drew her weapon after seeing a man dressed in black about 15 feet away.He then fired at her squad car, hitting her once in the stomach.

Michael Dengsavang, 28, Thongsavahn Rodthong, 27, and Paul Phonisay, 29, were charged Saturday in Milwaukee County with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and burglary. Dengsavang and Rodthong were charged with armed robbery and use of force.

All charges are party to a crime. Police arrested Phonisay and Dengsavang at a home raid on Wednesday. Pavlik was released from the hospital Friday. She has been on the Wauwatosa police force for three-and-a-half years.
